Journeys on HUMS

Journeys are a feature for people who don’t just listen to music, but guide others through it.

A Journey is a curated editorial piece built around a topic.

It can be anything: a genre or sub-genre, a sound from a city or country, an era, a movement, a mood, an artist universe, a scene, a personal obsession.

Each Journey combines context and music, turning listening into exploration instead of scrolling.

Who Can Create a Journey

Journeys are not open to everyone.
Only users who unlock Tune Guru status can publish them.
This status is earned through real activity on HUMS: consistent music recommendations,
positive feedback from other users, and genuine community engagement.
To unlock Tune Guru status you need to receive more than 100 crowns from the community.
Once you do, you can submit your Journey for the HUMS team to review.
When it’s published, you become a Tune Guru.

Visibility on the map

Tune Gurus and their Journeys are always more visible on the map.
When a cluster contains a Tune Guru, it turns blue instead of the standard yellow. The Guru’s
own pin is blue too, distinct from everyone else.
Journeys go further: they have a diLerent pin shape with inverted colors, so they always
surface clearly no matter how dense the map gets. They’re also searchable by genre and sub-
genre, so anyone exploring can find them instantly.
It’s not content that disappears in a feed. It’s presence.
